Mother of the Bride

Since the beginning of time mothers have been the backbone of the family. They are caring, hard working, and loving. They love their daughters and want their wedding day to be special. However, mothers deserve the perfect dress, just like their daughters on that special day.

Mother of the brides have a difficult time choosing a gown to wear because they don't want to overpower their daughter but still want to look beautiful. Sometimes they have a hard time feeling this way. Over time I have came up with some helpful tips for those mothers shopping for their dress for their daughter's wedding day! If you follow these tips, I ensure you will have a wonderful shopping experience!

1. Dress Your Best

Whether you are shopping for shoes, a new pair of jeans, or looking for accessories to accesorize your outfit for the night you should dress your best. Especially when you are shopping for the gown for your daughter's wedding! Dressing nicely and not in your comfortable sweats will give you more confidence. Confidence plays a crucial part in picking out your ensemble. If you look good, you'll feel good!

2. Bring a Good Support System

I am normally an independent shopper. When I say independent shopper, I mean I like to go shopping by myself. I know what I want or need. I also wont have any inflicting opinions steering me in the wrong direction. If you do bring someone or a couple people with you, make sure they are going to be positive shopping buddies. You want those who are coming with you to understand that you need to feel beautiful yet comfortable on the day of in your gown. Not ones who are going to be trying to steal the spotlight away from you.

3. Bring Your Daughter (if you can!!)

The bride is the main focus on the wedding day. She more than likely has somewhat of an idea of what she wants you to wear, or at least the proper color. Also, she's your daughter! She knows what you look great in and not so great in. Not only will your daughter be able to help you pick out the dress and color, but you wont have to worry whether she likes your dress or not when it comes in!

Have a great Wednesday everyone! =)
Much Love.
