Good afternoon and happy Friday!!!
These last couple of weeks we have gotten bombarded by mothers searching for the perfect gown for their daughter or son's wedding. One mom stands out in my mind today.
Wendy* was dragged in by one of her best friends. I actually had met her friend earlier in the week when she had been in with another one of her friends. Wendy was not at all excited to try on dresses for her son's wedding in June. She agreed to try on 5 dresses. To get her to become more comfortable, I began to ask her questions about the wedding. This wedding was more of a 4 DAY EVENT!! No wonder she was scared to try on dresses! This wedding is going to be the party of the century! Not only did I get her talking, but before she knew it, she had 8 dresses to try on. Wendy was shocked that the second dress she tried on she liked. She was even more shocked when she found the dress of her dreams! I have to say, I was so excited for her!
Wendy is the prime example of the typical mother searching for a gown. She didn't want to shop necessarily and was a little reserved. I told her to keep an open mind, try on anything, and just have fun with it! How many times does a girl get to dress up in a gorgeous dress??? Not every day, that's for sure!
